Danilo Ribeiro de Lima, MSc. is a process engineer at the Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira, Piracicaba, Brazil (e-mail: danilo.lima@ctc.com.br. my). He is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Chemists and Chemical Engineers in Brazil. Danilo graduated from State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Campinas, Brazil with B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemical engineering. He has over 3 years of experience in advanced techniques of biofuels production and process engineering. His research interests include process design and economic analysis for 2nd generation ethanol plants, as well as process modeling and optimization. Danilo has also skills related to green diesel production from biomass pyrolysis and biodiesel production from frying cooking oils. He spent one year and a half as researcher at Joanneum Research in Graz, Austria. He speaks English, German and Portuguese.
